The call for action came in 2015, when world leaders agreed to 17 global goals for sustainable development and a better world by 2030, which have the power to end poverty, fight inequality, and stop climate change. The bar is set and now more than ever leaders need to stop, take time, reflect and make wise decisions as integral leadership practices post Covid 19.
How then guided by these sustainable development goals can leaders in governments, businesses, civil society and the general public work together to build a better future for everyone? This is where we believe the practice of Executive Reflection can most contribute.
As a result of our recent research, we agree that more of the same leadership style is no longer enough. New ways of leading – seeing, thinking, relating, behaving and creating, at both the deeply personal and collective levels, are now mission critical. Not only for individuals but for organizations, to create a secure future after unprecedented uncertainty and build vital international relationships in our VUCA global, virtual and diverse (GVD) world.
Our book was born out of the latest neuro research and concern for the future of our planet. We believe Executive reflection is needed at all levels of every organization.
